MISE Semi- Finals Tournament

I am happy to inform you that Delhi Public School, Tema has accepted our invitation to host the 2014 MISE Semi-final event on the 26th of April. In addition the B5 Plus steel company will provide semi-finalists from across Ghana the opportunity to attend the semi-final event cost free. Arrangements for the program is as follows, Transport, Board and lodging arrangements for students and teachers from across Ghana have been finalized. Details will be communicated to affected students and schools shortly. For students coming from Accra, Parents are responsible for transporting their children to the Accra Mall In front of the Game Shop on Saturday the 26th at 8am prompt. Buses will be available to convey students to the Delhi Public School free of charge. Parents and school officials of students from Tema are to transport their wards to the event venue in community 25 by 9 am prompt. Morning Glory MCDC Student Becomes One of the Very Best Six Ghanaians to Compete At the International Junior Math Olympiad

Fourteen year-old Jean Roberts, a student of MOrning Glory MCDC has become one of the very best six Ghanaians to represent Ghana in the upcoming International Junior Math Olympiad, to be held South Korea. The International Math Olympiad gives a platform to the very brightest young mathematicians from 142 different countries. Jean Roberts will be one of the very best six Ghanaians from Ghana to make it to the Olympiad in the Olympiad’s 55 year old history. To reach this stage, Jean first had to compete against 273 other young Ghanaians who registered with the local math NGO, the MISE Foundation. The MISE Foundation, a member of the International Math Association, is the only body in Ghana authorized to search, test and submit candidates to represent the nation at the International Math Olympiad. Mise Foundation is an International Mathematical NGO whose objective is   to find mathematical talents in Ghana and help them to participate in International Mathematics competition. This year, Moring Glory MCDC has encouraged more of her pupils to seize opportunities such as the MISE Foundation programme as it does build up confidence, not only in academic studies but also in life.
