 Life in the 21st century places many changing demands on students making the transition through adolescence. They are at a crucial period of personal, social, physical and intellectual development, of uncertainty and of questioning.
The Junior High Department is for learners between the ages of 11-14 years.

Subjects such as Music, Visual Arts, Pre-Technical Skills, French, Mathematics, Science, English, ICT, RME, Ghanaian languages, Home Economics and Social Studies are taught in the department.

The department has facilities such as the Computer laboratory for computer lessons, the Art room for Arts classes, library, Kitchen and a sick bay, playing ground, a music room, a science laboratory for science lessons, a language lab and the Home Economics room.

In Morning Glory MCDC Junior High Department, we pride ourselves in helping students find and acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes for themselves through student-centered approaches to teaching and learning. Hence, the active-learning approach is highly utilized. Teachers are therefore facilitators of learning who fully understand that every child is unique and therefore can be helped to succeed using child-friendly strategies.

We believe in ‘training tomorrow’s leaders today’ we embrace a holistic education hence termly academic/non-academic activities such as club activities, fun games, club exhibitions and project fairs are consistent features of the education we offer here.
